EminiFX - Seventh Day Adventist Church Class Action Lawsuit

EminiFX - Seventh Day Adventist Church

Our firm has filed a $350 million class action lawsuit in federal court on behalf of over 62,000 Haitian American investors who were defrauded in a massive Ponzi scheme allegedly perpetrated by Eddy Alexandre, his company EminiFX, his wife, and with the assistance of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and its pastors.

The lawsuit alleges that Mr. Alexandre and his co-conspirators, including close to 100 Adventist churches and pastors across several states, conspired to defraud investors out of approximately $300 million. The defendants allegedly exploited the faith and trust of the Haitian American community to convince them to invest in the fraudulent scheme.

On February 12, 2023, Mr. Alexandre pled guilty to commodities fraud and forfeited $248 million to the U.S. government. However, none of his alleged co-conspirators have been charged to date. This class action seeks to hold all participants in the scheme accountable and recover damages for the thousands of defrauded investors.

The case is Lorfils Joseph v. General Conference Corporation of the Seventh Day Adventist Church et al, Case No.: 23-cv-21551, filed on April 25, 2023 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division.
